Starting with the word »Growth«, new pieces of sound poetry have been developed for this performance which, in turn, were the inspiration for interludes. Language, specially composed or selected music and stagings developed by students themselves, who have already visited the Institute for New Music and Music Education in Darmstadt or garnered some stage experience with creative sound actions at the festival »Shut up and listen!«. One thing that both the school classes from Aspern and the audience will have in common is the trip to Seestadt. The new college building, designed by architects, fasch&fuchs, with color design by the filmmaker Gustav Deutsch and artist Hanna Schimek, caused a stir in architectural circles and put Vienna’s largest urban development site on the shortlist of the Mies van der Rohe Prize.
