Doris Uhlich: Electric Loop © Theresa Rauter
»I discover increasingly in the process that even a motion that is very small can be vehement. Nornative ideas and concepts of energy and power become destabilized, begin to topple.« (Doris Uhlich)
The Stupid 3rd Wednesday, organized by dieb13 once a month since 2012, guarantees unexpected encounters between music and performance. What is probably the most experimental Off-Club in Vienna will make its debut in the Studio Molière. And the opening performance will be a solo by the Tyrol-based voice and sound artist Lissie Rettenwander. Following that, the performance ›Electric Loop‹ visualizes dance potentials with an »archaeology of energy« (Doris Uhlich). Adil Embaby and Vera Rosner-Nógel, two performers with physical impairments, tap into personal rhythms, dynamics, beats and bodily qualities to create very individual styles of dance. Together with DJ Boris Kopeinig, they devise an electrifying field that allows for shifts in perception. The final performance is by ALSO, the eruptive percussion and guitar duo of Katharina Ernst and Martin Siewert, accompanied for the first time by Christian Weber. The Swiss bassist is active not only in improvisation, advanced jazz and new music contexts, but also in avant rock, for example, in the band Sudden Infant (whose other members will take the Wien Modern Ring tram on 14.11).
